Rookie How-To: Margs

I know, I’m a day late. This post should have been up yesterday but I was so full of fish tacos that I couldn’t move. Is that an ok excuse? Let me just say that yesterday I had one of the best meals of my life! There is this small Mexican restaurant by our apartment that we got to quite frequently. It’s this small hole in the wall that is BYOB, so of course on Cinco de Mayo, I made a pitcher of Grapefruit Margaritas and headed out to have an amazzzing meal! If there are two things I know in this world, its pointless Kardashian trivia and making killer margaritas.

I really hate using sour mix because it has too much sugar and never leaves my stomach feeling well, and I love the taste of tequila, so I opted for Agave honey.

This recipe is enough for a couple servings. Plan accordingly

Grapefruit Margaritas:

  • Tequila!
  • 1 lime juiced
  • Half a grapefruit juiced (additional for decoration)
  • Two shots of triple sec
  • 2 tbs of Agave syrup
  • ½ a can of lemon flavored seltzer

*mix everything together in a shaker, make sure to add the seltzer last because it is carbonated

#rookiemistake: don’t put triple sec in the freezer to chill it. It WILL freeze and make it more difficult to make a margarita…

Now, check out my food from Cinco de Mayo. I want to eat it right now.
