My Go-To Snack

Every year when the holiday season starts, I tell myself I’ll be good. I won’t over indulge on turkey, or egg nog, cookies, or my favorite holiday cocktails. This is me every year, and every year I over indulge on all those cookies, turkey, egg nog, and the cocktails. Always the cocktails…

So to be proactive, I have been actively cutting back on a few things so I don’t feel so guilty this winter/holiday season. First step is cutting back on the amount I go out and grab drinks with friends. I have been trying to plan fun nights in to watch movies and relax. A few weekends back I had a few left over crescent rolls from when I made my Apple Pie Pockets. I took a few other ingredients that I had and made some pretty simple and “healthy” Asparagus Wraps.

    • Asparagus spears
    • Crescent Rolls
    • Prosciutto
    • Shredded Cheddar Cheese

      • Pre-heat oven designated on Crescent Roll packaging
      • Roll out a triangle crescent roll, and place the prosciutto, then asparagus on roll. The sprinkle a little cheddar cheese
      • Roll up each roll, and cook in oven by reading directions on packaging.

      These snacks have it all, salt, dough and even a vegetable.
