Watermelon, Pineapple, Jalapeño Marg!

So, I realized I have created a new tradition. Every Sunday I wake up and watch what feels like 20 minutes of the Food Network, but then I am quickly informed that it actually has been four hours. But who’s counting…I guess I just get carried away whenever Giada tells me how I’m really supposed to pronounce Mascarpone, and don’t EVEN get me started on how faaabulous Ina is. She is my barefoot contessa god!

I could continue to talk about my food network homegirls, but I will save that for another day. What I really wanted to talk about is another one of my obsessions, margaritas. With Cinco de Mayo a year away, I have decided to be proactive and get my margarita game in check for next year. Why did I bring up the Food Network you ask? Guida had an interesting recipe that i stole and made my own. Thats it.

Guida has this refreshing Strawberry Watermelon Margarita, and though I love strawberry, it seemed just a little too sweet. I took out the strawberry, put in pineapple and added a jalapeno. It has the perfect amount of sweet, zest, and spice.

What are some of your favorite Food Network drinks?

  1. That looks amazingly refreshing! I might stick with the strawberry’s – don’t get me wrong I love pineapples, but both recipes sound amazing!
As for my favorite food network drink, I have yet to find another so I’ll go with the pineapple/strawberry watermelon Jalapeño (I pronounce it Ja as in Ja rule just to be obnoxious)
